There is a line in the movie Jerry Maguire, when Tom Cruise’s sport agent character is desperately trying to resurrect Cuba Gooding Jr.’s football career. “Help me, help you.”  And he was right. Tom couldn’t resurrect Cuba’s career by himself. Not by a long shot.

In many ways we’re in Jerry Maguire’s shoes. We’re in the same, enviable position of loving what we do for a living and feeling both proud and humbled by what we’re helping do in the world. Yet, despite our knowledge, the depths of our passion and energy, and our collective experience, we simply cannot do it alone and without sufficient resources as quickly as it needs to be done.
