2013 SOURCE Africa Trade Show

April 9-12, 2013
Cape Town Convention Centre

Taking place on April 9-12, 2013 at the Cape Town Convention Centre, SOURCE Africa brings together producers, business leaders and decision makers from across the continent providing opportunities for African manufacturers to network with international buyers. There will be two full days of trade exhibition with African manufactured products on display including denim, work wear, childrenswear, menswear, womenswear, trims and accessories.  A feature of the trade show will be the Country Collection pavilions featuring product from Lesotho, Kenya, Mauritius, Tanzania, Swaziland, South Africa, and others.

In addition SOURCE Africa will feature a matchmaking pavilion. This business-to-business event can link the sourcing requirements of your members directly with companies from the African continent through a series of prearranged one-to-one meetings. This is a proven platform for establishing business relationships. In 2010 it resulted in more than 450 meetings and over $12 million in sales. More than 100 of the top manufactures and suppliers in Africa will be attending.

To help to inform you, regarding developments in apparel manufacturing in Africa, International business seminars are planned addressing issues such as;

·      Why sourcing apparel from Africa makes sense

·      What apparel buyers are looking for from Africa

·      Investment opportunities for textile and apparel in the region

·      Compliance and environmental stewardship requirements, best practice labeling and product safety

·       Preferential trade access and import tariffs

Finally the Southern Africa Trade Hub will be organising facilitated country visits for international buyers to manufacturing plants in the key producers countries of Swaziland, South Africa and Lesotho.

I have attached details of the event.
