Textile Exchange is pleased to host the Sustainable Textile Seminar, running in 

conjunction with the "OFİ - Organic Fashion İzmir" Marketplace, hosted by Aegean Clothing 
Manufacturers' Association (EGSD).  

During the show you are invited to the Textile Exchange Seminar. Learn about the market`s requirements in terms of environmental management and more sustainable fibers and processes, and new developments in the industry while in the company of leading brands and manufactures from Turkey. The sessions will explore the global challenges facing manufacturers in terms of market requirements regarding sustainability, and the new opportunities that this presents to Turkey.

The full OFI Marketplace will showcase Turkish companies who produce menswear, womenswear, childrens wear, baby garments, hometextiles and fabrics, all as organic products are displayed in the company booths. All seminar attendees will have the opportunity to meet with these companies and conduct bilateral business meetings with the Turkish producers.   

Turkish Government Support
The three day Marketplace event will be supported by the Ministry for Foreign Trade. The support of the Ministry did include the accommodation of foreign visitors who are involved in the textile and ready made garment sector, though the deadline for this application is on April 6, there are still preferred room rates available at the Swissotel.  Details are under the 'location' section of this webpage.  

International brands that were eligible to receive support were for companies located in Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Jordan, Kosovo, Lebanon, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Syria, UAE or USA; you could have contacted the Turkish Consulate in your country and completed a form with your company profile.  Phone numbers for a Turkish Consulate near you can be found at: www.musavirlikler.gov.tr.
