For the Lenzing Group sustainability has been a reality for many years. The natural raw material, wood or wood pulp is derived from managed tree farms for Lenzing Viscose®, Lenzing Modal®, and TENCEL®. With consideration to the manufacturing process, TENCEL® utilizes a closed-loop system to reuse solvent.  After almost half a century, a new chapter is now being written in the
history of Lenzing Modal®: Edelweiss!

Edelweiss stands for the gentle treatment of the environment that is possible because Lenzing Modal® is produced in an integrative manufacturing process. Production in Austria is performed in a symbiotic manner – the raw material, pulp, is produced at the same site as the Modal fiber itself so that energy and other resources are conserved.  Lenzing Modal® deserves the name of Edelweiss for this eco-friendly process - carbon neutral softness by Edelweiss.
