Forest for Fashion Event

The UN Economic Commission for Europe (UN ECE) is looking for partners to support and strengthen the narrative around sustainable forest management and the positive Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) impacts that can be created by using forest-derived products in the fashion sector.  Specifically, UNECE is looking for partners to provide the necessary co-funding or fashion collections to help realize an upcoming initiative at the 2018 High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development from July 8-11th at the United Nations.

This is a chance to partner with various organizations & UN agencies to showcase the role of forests to a high-level political audience. The installation will be on display during the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City. Member States, together with other agencies and actors, will affirm political leadership and review global progress towards the achievement of the SDGs.  The installation and film will promote the role of forest products in fashion and feature unique outfits made from forest-derived materials. The collection will bring together the inspiration of fashion designers from all over the world, each piece with a genuine link to PEFC-certified forests & sustainable development.  A copy of the flyer is available here.
