This month’s webinar will feature guest speaker, Nicole Bassett, Director of Sustainability at prAna. We will be walking through the journey that prAna has taken to product certification. Nicole will discuss why integrity was important for prAna, their current requirements around certification, traceability, transparency as well as success factors and challenges in the journey. Join us as we move the discussion of Integrity beyond theory and into a real supply chain.
About Nicole Bassett, Director of Sustainability, prAna
Nicole grew up in the wilds of Northern British Columbia, where she developed a passion for people and the environment. Nicole consults on sustainability for PrAna, where she is Director of Social Responsibility, addressing corporate and supply chain social and environmental impacts. Prior to joining prAna Nicole was Social Responsibility Manager at Patagonia, where she championed and integrated social and environmental responsibility into sourcing and production, and worked with factories to improve labor and working conditions. Nicole's career has focused on driving sustainability into the internal operations of a brand and throughout the supply chain. Additionally she has been involved with various stakeholder initiatives, including the Outdoor Industry's Sustainability Working Group , Fair Trade USA, Textile Exchange and the Fair Labor Association. Nicole received her Master's in Environmental Studies with a focus on Business Strategy and Sustainability from York University in Toronto, Canada.
