Soil Organic Carbon Guidance by International Insetting Platform
January 29 @ 7:00 am - 8:00 am UTC-7
Tue 29th Jan, 15:00 – 16:00 PM CET
Agricultural supply chains need to be transformed to achieve the scale necessary to tackle climate change. Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) represents one of the most significant opportunities to mitigate climate change, particularly through application in company supply chain programmes, and leading companies are looking to credibly quantify and report on what they have achieved.
During this webinar, Gold Standard will present the draft SOC Guidance, which offers a step-wise approach to SOC measurement and reporting in the context of the Value Chain Interventions Accounting and Reporting Guidance and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. The Guidance has been drafted by Danone, Gold Standard, Livelihoods Funds, Mars, TREES Consulting and UNIQUE forestry and land use GmbH. It has been supported and overseen by an Expert Working Group, including soil scientists, practitioners and companies, and is open for public consultation until January 31st 2019.
