Webinar: Textile Exchange “Ask Me Anything” Webinar for recycled MMCF
April 22 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am EDT
How can the Man-Made Cellulosic Fiber (MMCF) value chain benefit from using the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) or Global Recycled Standard (GRS)?
When: April 22, 9am CDT | 10am EST | 4pm CET
In this webinar you will get to know the basics of RCS and GRS and have the opportunity to ask the Textile Exchange Standards TEam any questions related to your MMCF business or brand. While more and more suppliers offer recycled feedstock content as part of their innovative MMCF offerings, implementing RCS or GRS is still relatively new for these fiber types or mills, and many questions reach us every week – by brands who want to take informed decisions or use product claims for recycled MMCF (rMMCF) all the way to pulp mills who invest in rMMCF and chain of custody verification.
What are the RCS and GRS? The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) and Global Recycled Standard (GRS) are international, voluntary standards that set requirements for third-party certification of recycled input and chain of custody. The shared goal of the standards is to increase the use of recycled materials. The GRS includes additional criteria for social and environmental processing requirements and chemical restrictions.
Objectives of RCS and GRS:
- Alignment of recycled definitions across multiple applications.
- Verify recycled content in products
- Provide consumers (both brands and end consumers) with a tool to make informed decisions.
