YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Product Development Manager, Seamless, you will manage a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in bringing innovative and high-quality products to life. As a Senior Product Developer, Seamless, you’ll spearhead various aspects of product development, from conception to launch, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Confidently lead fittings and proto reviews, analysing outcomes and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Manage garments to ensure compliance with measurements, quality, construction, and fit.
- Recommend and execute commercial construction solutions.
- Develop accurate Tech Packs and BOMs with meticulous attention to detail.
- Independently manage styles/collections from concept to launch.
- Plan and organise workload while supporting and inspiring junior team members to foster an open, transparent and safe team culture.
- Foster key relationships cross-functionally to meet seasonal targets, maintain design aesthetics, and adhere to product briefs.
- Engage in R&D for world-class garment construction and engineering.
- Report and track progress against the Product Creation Calendar and Critical Path.
- Collaborate with the Materials team on new fabric, trim, and logo developments.
- Coordinate design and development workshops to action pre-costing and development.
- Build vendor relationships, including traveling independently overseas to manage style development.
- Drive the execution of seasonal projects and collaborate with senior management to align with the Product Development vision and strategy.
- Analyse data to offer viable solutions and ideas, including returns data and wearer trial results.
YOUR PROFILE
Essential skills:
- Qualification in apparel sector.
- Proven track record working with global activewear/sportswear brands and expertise in performance fabrics.
- Extensive experience working in product development roles within the apparel industry.
- Proficient in circular knit products, including fittings and grading tubular/seamless styles.
- Exceptional skills in building relationships and influencing key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate ability to guide, support, and mentor junior team members effectively.
- Pro-active problem-solving approach demonstrated consistently.
- Deep commercial acumen with a knack for identifying and addressing risks confidently.
- Thrive in fast-paced environments, accustomed to meeting tight deadlines
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Adobe Illustrator, leveraging these tools extensively.
