As a Trims Developer you will have the opportunity to source and develop all the trims, in alignment with the Product and Sourcing strategy. You will work cross-functionally to ensure the aesthetic, functional and commercial needs of materials are met in order to deliver world class products to the Gymshark Community.
The hybrid working pattern features a minimum three days a week at our headquarters in Solihull, UK.

YOUR ROLE
As a passionate Trims Developer, you will ensure all materials are approved and tested during the material development process, in accordance with Gymshark Critical Path timelines and performance standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Commercialise new material developments, in line with critical path timelines, creative direction, and sourcing and product strategy.
- Ensure trims are developed to the highest quality, delivered on time to meet manufacturing dates whilst adhering to the Gymshark policies and commitments.
- Build and maintain close relationships with teams such as Design, Buying and Product Development.
- Establish material toolbox for effective planning and negotiations. Uphold GBB principles for excellence and savings. Execute material consolidation to enhance efficiency in line with business strategy.
- Partner with T1/T2 suppliers to source and develop materials from inception to production where required.
- Work closely with Sourcing teams to ensure dual lines are sourced and developed within the regional cluster network.
- Support the Trims Manager with negotiations and forecasting as required.
- Delivering newness and innovation with the ability to patent where possible. Delivering new to market ideas and sustainability.
- Interpret and use data in various settings including quality and performance measurement, presentations, commercial based decisions and KPI measuring.
- Research and present information on material trends and innovations gathered from supplier meetings, industry, and material fairs at the start of each season.
YOUR PROFILE
- Proven expertise in trim development, preferably with a focus on performance trims.
- Ability in anticipating problems, offering solutions, and effectively addressing material-related issues.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and proficient written and verbal communication abilities, including presentation delivery.
- Prior experience in a global trim supplier or brand, preferably with the US sportswear market.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite and adept at utilising data management systems such as PLM.
- Collaborative and team orientated.
- Skilled in building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships through clear communications.
- Thrives in fast-paced environments, accustomed to meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to travel up to between 10-15% of the time.
