Will there be new types of fibers or materials in the unified standard in the future?
The primary goal for the unified standard is to harmonize our existing standards into a more unified standard system to align with the Climate+ goal. Additionally, we are looking at other key fibers and materials that connect to our GHG reduction goals. For the second draft the materials included under the scope are: cotton, sheep wool, mohair, alpaca, cashmere, down, recycled, MMCF, biomaterials, and skins. We plan to create a standard system that is flexible enough to add new types of fibers and materials in the future, which more likely will be included through a recognition partnership.
