Sustainability Manager, Claims & Traceability
The Sustainability Manager role will drive efforts within Delta Galil to ensure supply chain traceability and sustainability goals are achieved. This position will work as a liaison between the supply chain and internal company functions to coordinate the validation of material sustainability claims. In addition this role will support the execution of traceability initiatives within the company.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaboration with design, product development, and sourcing to identify and execute validation process for all sustainability material claims
- Manage existing sustainability certifications of supply chain partners
- Coordinate training for supply chain partners on industry sustainability schemes
- Coordinate training for internal company departments on sustainability schemes
- Manage customer/brand requirements for sustainability validations, including submission of supply chain certificates
- Identify opportunities to address sustainability topics
- Communicate traceability requirements to suppliers
- Ensure traceability systems are in place throughout supply chain
- Perform chain of custody and traceability audits on internal programs
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 3+ years experience from a similar role and knowledge of/experience working with the apparel/textile industry environmental and sustainability efforts
- Experience with sustainability certifications GOTS, GRS, RCS, OCS, BCI is a must
- Solid understanding of the apparel and textile industry, including upstream processes of the value chain (e.g. materials and manufacturing)
- Passionate in Sustainability and committed to drive positive change
- Advanced capabilities in MS Office programs such as Excel and ability to analyze data
- Good technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Professional with an ability to represent the brand while engaging with external stakeholders
- Creative problem solver with a holistic result-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
