A single source to authenticate scope and transaction certification

Digital Trackit (dTrackit) enables a single source to authenticate scope and transaction certification. It allows brands certified to our standards to access their scope certificates, transaction certificates, and traceability data in one central place to ease the existing burden of manually collecting this data from suppliers. We developed it to improve the overall integrity of our certification and help companies achieve supply chain traceability with minimal disruption to the existing certification process.

We’re creating a Shared Measurement System (SMS) – a flexible and scalable data structure that helps us track our progress toward Climate+ goals. Trackit is the backbone of SMS, connecting information across the supply chain. This integrated system framework enables us to provide a consolidated view of companies’ sustainability efforts and progress across all our tools and programs.

Business as usual

The certification process with dTrackit follows the usual model. Certified organizations apply for scope and transaction certificates directly with certification bodies, as they have always done. The certification bodies then carry on with validation, reconciliation, approval, and the issuance of scope and transaction certificates.

Central database

Behind the scenes, scope and transaction data stored with certification bodies will be entered into a central database and reconciled to achieve traceability and other benefits.

Integrity and traceability

Data reported to dTrackit is consolidated to reconcile certified material volume, check for policy conformance, and trace certified materials across the supply chain.

TIMELINE

The general release of dTrackit is coming soon

The development of dTrackit started in 2021. In 2022, certification bodies were onboarded and certification data ingestion commenced. The public modules, Find a Certified Company and Authenticate a Transaction were released in November 2022. Selected brands are currently being given access to the beta release. The general release is planned for the coming months. Certification body and supplier access are planned for 2024.
