How are requirements that reference ZDHC guidelines revised for first processing facilities in the unified standard Draft 2?

The ZDHC MRSL criterion was removed from the draft unified standard since the ZDHC MRSL guidance was not meant for Tier 4 facilities (i.e., first processing where the chemicals used in the manufacturing are building blocks and cannot be replaced). Therefore, it is necessary to replace the ZDHC MRSL and add chemical requirements that would be more suitable for this tier of the supply chain. Hence, in the unified standard Draft 2, we have introduced several new criteria that are more relevant to the first processing of recycled materials. The summary of changes made to the second draft based on the feedback received can be reviewed in the Recycled Materials Summary Paper.
