Textile Exchange welcomes feedback – including complaints – as a way to maintain and improve the integrity of our systems.

What kind of feedback do you have?

Please first check the Development Hub to see if the standard you wish to provide feedback for is currently under revision. If so, it is preferable to provide feedback within the revision process.

Requests for assistance with Textile Exchange systems may be submitted to the system administrator directly or using our contact form.

Textile Exchange recommends that any complaint about a certified organization be first submitted to the applicable certification body. All Textile Exchange certification bodies are required to have a complaints process in place.

If you are unsure of who the certification body is or prefer to submit the complaint directly to Textile Exchange, please use our complaints form.

Textile Exchange recommends that any complaint about a certification body be first submitted to the applicable certification body and/or to their accreditation body. All Textile Exchange certification bodies and accreditation bodies are required to have a complaints process in place. You can identify the accreditation body for each certification body by following the link from the name of the standard in the list of certification bodies.

Tips for Submitting a Complaint

  • Please provide us with as much evidence to support your complaint as possible. Photos, copies of documents, and descriptions of what you have observed are all invaluable in processing a complaint.
  • Please submit complaints using the complaint form. This ensures that we have all of the information which we need to process the complaint, and that it is received by the correct person.
  • Textile Exchange receives and processes all complaints. Depending on the nature of the complaint, Textile Exchange may not follow up with the complainant or may not be able to provide detailed information about the resolution of the complaint.
