Like all roles at Textile Exchange, this role will be primarily home-based; Textile Exchange is a US-based but remote-working organization with a global team. Candidates must be available to work across United States and European time zones.
Job Summary
We are looking for a well-organized individual to be employed as a Junior Financial Analyst maternity cover for a 1-year period. The candidate will assist with generating our organization’s overall and department profit/loss reporting, budgeting and forecasting, variance explanations ensuring compliance with internal finance and accounting policies as well as creating project-based reporting. This position will also need to take over as the finance liaison for on-going cross functional projects, including systems integrations. This position reports to the Finance and Accounting Director.
Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Management Reporting (estimated 50%)
- Assist in the preparation of forecasts, and assist in the creation P/L reports for organizational teams
- Update financial models for various departments including Sage Intacct dashboards
- Review financial data to identify variances and opportunities for improvement
- Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting
- Assist with the preparation of ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making
Project Management Tasks (estimated 40%)
- Update project management tasks as identified
- Communicate with project stakeholders and document project processes
- Advise on system integrations with our existing financial software, including Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Stripe, and SAP Concur
Other Tasks (estimated 10%)
- Serve as administrator for SAP Concur
- Other tasks as requested
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or related field and 1-2 years’ experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Sage Intacct or similar system, especially with reporting and dashboards
- Ability to interpret financial models, analyze data, and provide actionable insights
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Project management skills, especially with process improvement and integrations between systems
- A driven individual with a strong work ethic and high degree of autonomy
- Highly attentive to detail with strong organizational and planning skills
- Analytical with excellent written and verbal skills in English
- Positive, honest, professional, responsible, discreet person who can always act with the utmost confidence
Additional Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience in a non-profit organization
- Experience with Salesforce and/or SAP Concur
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, & Word
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Ability to share knowledge effectively while at the same time, learn from others
- Motivated, energetic, determined, and with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to think outside of the box and work as part of a team
- Strong desire to never stop learning
Employment Package
- Reports to: Finance and Accounting Director
- Full-Time Position (1-year contract, maternity cover), 40 Hours a Week
- Location: Virtual/Remote
- Annual Salary Range: $52,000 – $74,000 USD
- To be filled as soon as possible (start date to be agreed between both parties).
- Our salary structures are location-agnostic, ensuring equal pay for the same role, irrespective of location. Final employment offers are determined based on the role, candidate experience, education, and other relevant factors, but not on location. Offers will be presented in the local currency of the candidate’s permanent residence. Benefits are tailored to the region of the candidate’s permanent residence and align with Textile Exchange’s regional employment packages.
