Project Assistant Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our team. This assistant will support the Director, Vice President and President by preparing meeting materials, scheduling stakeholder meetings, taking notes, and managing information in Airtable, Google Slides, Miro and Gsuite applications (Google Slides, Google docs, etc.). This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about textiles, circularity and sustainability to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic nonprofit environment.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting Preparation:
- Create and organize meeting materials using Google Slides, Miro and Canva.
- Ensure all relevant documents and presentations are prepared and shared in advance.
- Note-taking:
- Attend meetings and take detailed notes to capture key discussions, decisions, and action items.
- Summarize notes and distribute them to team members promptly.
- Data Management:
- Utilize Airtable to track project progress, manage data, and support team collaboration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to ongoing projects.
- Scheduling:
- Coordinate and schedule stakeholder meetings using G Suite, calendly, and other virtual meeting platforms.
- Communicate with participants to ensure availability and confirm meeting details.
- Research Support:
- Conduct research on textile sustainability trends and best practices.
- Support the team in gathering information for reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interest in sustainable textiles
- Proficiency in using GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet), Miro, Airtable, and Canva.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience:
- Previous internship or project experience in the textile industry or related field is a plus.
- Candidate must
- 40 hours per week
- Available during EST hours
